Osceola Chamber History
The Chamber of Commerce
Instituted in 1956 as the Osceola Civic and Community Organization, it later became the Osceola Business Association, Inc. In 1998, the group became known as the Osceola Chamber of Commerce.
The MainStreet Program
Created nationally in 1977 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, established in Wisconsin in 1987. Osceola became an accredited MainStreet Community in 1997.
The purpose of the Wisconsin MainStreet Program is to encourage and support the revitalization of downtowns in Wisconsin through historic preservation.
Advocating for the restoration of the historic elements and character of downtown through a four-point approach: Organization, Promotions, Design, and Economic Revitalization. Being a MainStreet Accredited community allows us access to these resources with assistance from the state of Wisconsin.
The Chamber + MainStreet
Formed by combining the two organizations together.
Today, we are a member organization that brings together the different elements in our community; our Industrial Park, our Historic MainStreet with food & retail located in our central business district, our service provider businesses and our local agricultural network. We bring all of these elements together to provide a vibrant, thriving prosperous community for residents and visitors to enjoy.
